This isn´t as famous Mexico´s Corona (FYI they don´t serve lime with a Corona in Mexico) or Sol but Modelo Negra is by far my favourite lager so far, although Argentina´s Quilmes Bock is a close second.

Things I like # 1 Mexico City´s pollution control
Mexico City is one of the most polluted cities in the world. Yeah, I know there are loads of places like this around the world, but what is cool about Mexico City is that they ban cars from driving on certain days in order to keep pollution levels stable. Cars are issued with a number plate that states the day that they are banned from driving in the City. When pollution levels rise they increase the driving ban over the weekend.
This is much better then any congestion charge that merely earns the government money but does little to reduce congestion and reduce pollution in the our Cities. I liking the no nonsense approach of Mexicans.

The most honest ad ever?
I saw this whilst watching a Mexican version of Tarrant on TV. I wonder how many creatives would admit to just wanting to create great big, expensive ads?

I´m not in the mood for blogging…
With the floods in Mexico I feel kind of crap blogging about my mere, unimportant observations on Mexican life and communications.
I was only held up a few days in Tobasco so no big deal for me but I would hate to imagine what millions of people are going through up there. According to the Mexican President it´s the worst disaster in Mexican modern history and even bigger than the New Orleans, hurricane Katrina disaster. I was surprised that it didn´t make the homepage of the BBC site for more than a day!
I´ve loads to say about Mexico, it´s a great place but I think I will hold off for a bit.

Blog stranded in Mexico City…
I’ve got a few posts up my sleeve, I’m just struggling to find an Internet cafe that has any kind of USB connection so I can upload some photos. As soon as I can get to one I’ll be back posting again.
